Using the SHARPAL 101N is simple. Just insert the blade fully and vertically into the appropriate sharpening slot at a 90-degree angle to the sharpener. Pull the knife blade from heel to tip with light pressure in the direction of the indicator arrows. Repeat this action until the blade is sharp.

To sharpen serrations or gut hooks, put the end of the tapered diamond rod against the cutting edge and push it through while applying moderate pressure. Repeat this process until the cutting edge is sharp. For honing serrations, pull the blade through the ceramic slot.

The fire starter feature is activated by removing the outer black coating. Insert the fire stick into the carbide slot and pull it quickly through the slot in the direction of the indicator arrows. Repeat this process until the tinder ignites.

To use the emergency whistle, position your lips over the opening in the upper left of the product and blow vigorously. It's important not to cover the air outlet on the top of the product.
